Supplements for Amazon, TikTok Shop and your own website
British VitaTech is a contract manufacturer that makes custom and private label supplements in Leicester for brands that sell online, on Amazon, TikTok Shop and their own websites: capsules, tablets, gummies, powders, sachets and stick packs, and liquids. Selling supplements on Amazon or TikTok Shop starts with a product file, not a listing: the formula, the label, the test reports and the certificates each marketplace can ask to see. We build that file with you during development, with the testing plan and the claims written into the brief, so the evidence is ready when the stock is.
Both marketplaces are growing. Front Row estimates that Amazon's vitamin, mineral and supplement sales in Germany, the UK, France, Italy and Spain grew 30% in 2025, with Germany and the UK each taking about a third of the total (March 2026). In the US, NielsenIQ reports that health and beauty sales on TikTok Shop grew 84% year on year, making it the platform's largest category, with vitamins, skin care and fragrance leading sales (March 2026).
Selling supplements on Amazon in the UK, the EU and the US
Amazon supplement requirements differ by store, so we start with where you will sell. Everything below comes from Amazon's own seller guidance, announcements and staff posts, checked in October 2026. As a supplement manufacturer for Amazon sellers, we prepare the product and the documents to match each store.
Amazon UK
We prepare your Amazon UK listing documents with you, including our BSI HACCP and GMP certificate for capsules, gummies, functional pouches and liquids, the formats it covers, and keep each formula inside Amazon UK's limits. As of October 2026, sellers need approval to sell food supplements in the UK store and must submit the manufacturer's GFSI-recognised, HACCP or GMP certificate from an accredited third-party certification body, with a valid expiry date and a scope covering the product. BRCGS certification, expected in early 2027, adds a GFSI-recognised certificate. Amazon UK does not list vitamin D above 100 µg a day, niacin (nicotinic acid) above 50 mg, nicotinamide above 500 mg or substances on the WADA Prohibited List.
Amazon's UK guide to selling nutritional supplements tells sellers to register as a food business operator with their local authority before trading. Ingredients must be permitted under UK food law, and novel foods need FSA authorisation. Labels must be in English and carry the term "food supplement", the ingredients with allergens emphasised, the daily dose, warnings, a best before date and a UK business name and address. Health claims must come from the authorised list, and no statement may make the product a medicine under MHRA rules.
Amazon's EU stores
Amazon's German seller guide shows how EU stores add national steps. It tells sellers to notify each product to the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) before it goes on sale and to label it fully in German. Ingredients must be permitted in the EU, where anything not eaten to a significant degree before 15 May 1997 is a novel food needing authorisation, and health claims must be authorised. Each member state can require its own notification, so the steps and the label language change from store to store, and a UK brand needs an operator established in the EU, or the EU importer, named on pack. Our page on supplement manufacturing for EU brands sets out that route.
Amazon's US store
As of October 2026, Amazon's US store requires dietary supplements to be verified through a third-party testing, inspection and certification (TIC) organisation. Sellers start verification for each product in Amazon's Manage Your Compliance dashboard and work with the TIC organisation directly, and a product becomes eligible for sale once a passing result reaches Amazon.
Amazon staff on its US seller forums have set out the manufacturing evidence: the facility's GMP certificate must come from an accredited third party, must be in good standing and cannot be expired, and private, first-party and consulting audits, FDA inspections and ISO standards are not accepted.
We make supplements for Amazon's US store and prepare the documents it asks for, working with your TIC organisation on each product's verification. We are an FDA registered food facility for dietary supplements. Amazon's GMP verification needs a third-party 21 CFR Part 111 audit, which we plan around our US programmes. Our page on supplement manufacturing for US brands covers US labels and registration.
TikTok Shop by invitation: UK and US evidence rules
TikTok Shop supplements sell by invitation in both the UK and the US, and each store sets its own evidence rules. Both summaries below are as of October 2026.
TikTok Shop UK
TikTok Shop UK's restricted products policy, dated 27 August 2026, lets sellers list prepacked food and drink, including health, wellness and beauty supplements, only after invite-only onboarding. Each listing carries the ingredient list, the allergens and confirmation of whether the product is high in fat, sugar and salt. TikTok may ask for the seller's local authority food business registration, HACCP certification (for food manufacturers) and genuine images of the packaging showing the mandatory food information. Nutrition and health claims not authorised by official bodies are not permitted.
TikTok Shop UK's guide to selling supplements (September 2025) allows a health claim only where a UK or EU authority has authorised it, worded exactly as approved, and lists weight loss supplements of any kind as prohibited. The restricted products policy also bars maternity vitamins containing vitamin A or cod liver oil. Where TikTok asks for HACCP certification for your product, we provide our BSI certificate.
TikTok Shop US
TikTok Shop's US rules for dietary supplements, dated 23 June 2026, open the category by invitation. Manufacturers, importers, repackers and resellers must each submit at least one valid product test report. The report must be "issued within the last 180 days" by an approved laboratory: one of TikTok Shop's accredited partner laboratories, or an in-house laboratory with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation or a qualifying GMP certificate. It covers microbiology, heavy metals, contaminants such as pesticides or residual solvents, and label claim, and it must show the same company name and address as the selling account. Sellers also submit images of the front, back and Supplement Facts labels, with the manufacturer's or distributor's name and physical address on the back.
We make products for TikTok Shop US and prepare what its rules ask for. For brand sellers without an in-house laboratory, the report comes from one of TikTok Shop's accredited partner laboratories, in your company's name. We supply the production samples, the specification and the batch documents the laboratory needs, and we plan sampling so the report is current when your listings are reviewed.
Consistency for DTC and subscription brands, renewal after renewal
Direct-to-consumer brands sell from their own site, and subscription brands send the same product to the same customer on every renewal. Consistency is the product: a change in taste, colour or dose between batches shows up in reviews and cancellations. Every batch is tested by accredited partner laboratories as part of every order and released by quality control against its specification, and nothing is dispatched without quality control sign-off. We keep three retained samples per batch for the product's shelf life plus one year, so any question about a delivery traces back to the batch that made it.
For subscription brands we plan production against your renewal forecast, so released stock is ready for each renewal cycle. Letterbox-friendly pouches and slim cartons keep postage down, and refill pouches let customers keep one jar on the shelf. Every pack carries its batch code and best before date, so customer service can answer a query from the pack in hand.
Your formula is yours. That matters most when a subscription brand grows, because you can add marketplaces and retailers without renegotiating who owns the recipe. Our page on formula ownership explains how it works, and our fulfilment services page covers what happens after your batch is released.
Claims carry more risk online, because listings, ads and creator videos all describe the product. We check your label, and the claims you plan for your listings, against the authorised claims for each market, so the words on your product page match the pack.
As of October 2026, new UK subscription rules are due to start in January 2027, with renewal reminders, a cooling-off right after a trial or renewal and an easy exit. When you add marketplaces, one product file has to satisfy your own site and every marketplace at once.

Questions brands ask
Can you make supplements for Amazon UK and Amazon's EU stores?
Yes. We make custom supplements in Leicester for brands selling on Amazon UK and Amazon's EU stores, and prepare the label, ingredient file and certificates each store expects. As of October 2026, Amazon's UK guide asks sellers to register as a food business, use permitted ingredients, label in English and keep lab reports and certificates ready on request. Its German guide asks for a BVL notification before sale and a label fully in German.
What does Amazon's US store require for dietary supplements?
As of October 2026, Amazon's US store requires dietary supplements to be verified through a third-party testing, inspection and certification (TIC) organisation. Amazon staff on its seller forums say the facility's GMP certificate must come from an accredited third party and be in good standing, and that FDA inspections and ISO standards are not accepted. We make products for Amazon's US store, prepare its documents and plan the third-party 21 CFR Part 111 audit around our US programmes.
What test report does TikTok Shop US ask for?
As of October 2026, TikTok Shop's US rules ask every dietary supplement seller for at least one product test report, issued within the last 180 days by an approved laboratory and covering microbiology, heavy metals, contaminants and label claim. It must show the same company name and address as the selling account. We make products for TikTok Shop US and supply the production samples, specification and batch documents, and one of TikTok Shop's accredited partner laboratories issues the report in your company's name.
Can I sell supplements on TikTok Shop UK?
Yes, once TikTok onboards you: as of October 2026, TikTok Shop UK lists prepacked food and drink, supplements included, by invitation only. Each listing needs the ingredients, the allergens and whether the product is high in fat, sugar and salt, and TikTok may ask for your food business registration, HACCP certification for food manufacturers and packaging images. Health claims must be authorised and worded exactly as approved, and TikTok's supplement guide lists weight loss supplements as prohibited.
Which documents do you prepare for a marketplace listing?
We prepare the product specification, certificates of analysis from our accredited partner laboratories, the batch release confirmation, a label and claims review, an ingredient status file and our quality pack, with label images from the approved print files. Each store reads them differently: as of October 2026, Amazon's UK guide asks sellers to keep reports ready on request, while TikTok Shop's US rules ask for a recent report from an approved laboratory. We keep the set current for every store you use.
Do you work with DTC and subscription brands?
Yes. Subscription brands need the same product in every delivery, so every batch is tested by accredited partner laboratories as part of every order and released by quality control against its specification, and nothing is dispatched without quality control sign-off. We keep three retained samples per batch for the product's shelf life plus one year. Your formula is yours, so you can add marketplaces as you grow. As of October 2026, new UK subscription rules are due to start in January 2027.
